ONRX Provider is the provider (doctor and clinic) version of the ONRx app to provide the doctors and the staff of a clinic with access to the ONRx platform. This app will provide the providers ability to schedule and initiate virtual online consultations with patients who have access to the ONRx Patient platform.
ONRx is a patient centric mobile app removing the complexity of virtual care options available. Patients can choose to connect with available licensed Canadian medical professionals and healthcare practitioners over the seamless and secure video call or schedule to in-person visit to the doctor office looking at available open slots. ONRx is at present providing services in the province of Ontario. You must have a valid OHIP card for virtual medical consultation or can use any approved health insurance that covers the medical consult in the province of Ontario. Medical practitioner may charge any fee directly for the services that aren’t covered by OHIP or by the insurance.
Virtual visits are most appropriate for general health (non-emergency / life threatening) issues such as:
- Allergies (Seasonal)
- Birth Control Prescriptions
- Cold & Flu
- Fever
- Infections
- Stomach Flu
- Prescription Renewals
- Mental Health (Anxiety)
- Other medical issues that DO NOT require personal doctor intervention to diagnose or treat immediately (for example, ear infection, cuts/bleeding, x-rays, etc.)
